OurHomes Household Alerts, operated by OurHomes at www.ourhomes.me.

Programme description

OurHomes is a private household organisation tool. Once a household member registers and confirms their own mobile number, the programme sends that member text messages about their own household: reminders they created, prompts to follow up on something they are waiting on, and a short daily summary of what is due. Members may also text the number to add a task, reminder or shopping-list item to their household. This is a transactional service between a household and its own members. It is not marketing, and messages are never sent to anyone who has not registered their own number.

How to join

Sign in at www.ourhomes.me, open Household → Text it in, and enter your own mobile number. We display a one-time confirmation code, which you must text to the OurHomes number from that handset. Messages begin only after that code is received, which proves you control the number and consent to receive messages.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on what you have scheduled. In typical use this is a small number of messages per day. You control it precisely from Household → Updates to your phone, including turning text messages off entirely, setting quiet hours, and choosing whether to receive a daily summary.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. OurHomes does not charge you for messages; your mobile carrier’s standard rates apply.

Opting out

Text STOP to the OurHomes number at any time to stop all messages. You will receive a single confirmation and nothing further. You may also remove your number from Household → Text it in, or switch text messages off under Household → Updates to your phone. To resume afterwards, text START.

Supported carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to transmission limitations and handset capability.
